Professional Experience
Dr Alexander E. Hillaris graduated from the Hellenic Naval Academy in 1981; he received his B.S. in Physics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 1982. Received a Postgraduate Degree in Informatics and Operational Research, by the Department of Mathematics, University of Athens in 1985 and a MSc in Computer Science, with distinction, by Naval Postgraduate School Monterey CA, USA in 1994. In 1991 he received a PhD. in Physics by the Section of Astronomy, Astrophysics and Mechanics, University of Athens. During 1997-2011 he was Instructor at the Technological Education Institute of Piraeus, Physics Laboratory I and II. From 2004 to 2011 he was also Instructor at the Hellenic Naval Academy, Physics Laboratory.
Research Interests
Solar Radio Bursts, Particle Acceleration in Solar Flares, Fine Structure in Solar Continua, Data analysis.
